BakerHughes GE’s Asset Performance Management team joins GE Digital

Oil & Gas Maintenance workers | Software for O&G | GE Digital

On September 3, 2019, GE Digital finalized an agreement with BHGE to acquire the Asset Performance Management (APM) commercial teams and customer accounts in the oil and gas and petrochemical markets, making GE Digital is the leading vendor for APM solutions in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals markets, estimated to be worth nearly $2bn annually.

This transfer of staff and commercial contractual relationships from BHGE to GE Digital enables GE Digital to bring its Asset Performance Management solutions, product and professional services teams closer to the needs of its customers in the oil & gas and petrochemicals industry.

GE Digital’s Asset Performance Management software optimizes the performance of industrial assets to increase reliability and availability, minimize costs, and reduce operational risks.

Helping you solve oil & gas challenges

Connect, visualize and manage asset health

Drive reliability and availability by connecting assets across the enterprise, both on- and offshore and capture data and perform analytics—from the reservoir to the refinery—by leveraging GE Digital applications, to improve operations, reliability, availability, and profits through an integrated, enterprise-wide view.

Digitize assets

Machine data, digital twins, and advanced analytics provide the ability to predict potential asset failures before they happen, improving reliability and uptime of your site. This technology, combined with prescriptive rules via streamlined maintenance activities can also lead to optimized spare parts inventory levels.

Reduce cost and downtime

Improve management of both stationary and rotating equipment, while also streamlining maintenance planning, execution, and inventory management—in order to reduce maintenance costs and drive toward zero unplanned downtime.

Manage operational risk

With growing complexity in regulations—governmental and environmental—chemical manufacturers must invest more in health, safety, and compliance technology to manage operational risk.

Reduce operational complexity

Connect real-time and long-term planning data with expertise, predicative analytics, and machine learning can drive better, data-driven decision making and profitability to optimize increasingly complex oil and gas operations.

Improve resource utilization

Leverage integrated data and self-learning models across your enterprise to help increase capital efficiency and profitability, optimize maintenance strategies, decrease marginal costs, and better allocate valuable resources.
