Every day our team works with the world’s most innovative companies, whose team’s literally power nations, feed the world, and responsibly extract resources across the globe. We’re deeply grateful to our customers who invite us to be a part of their most important work. This is part of the reason why we bring together the greatest industrial minds each year at our annual user conference. It’s not just about showcasing transformational work, but also learning from each other on how we can continue to solve the toughest challenges facing our mission critical and essential industries today.
With our virtual user conference less than a month away we’re already feeling extra energized, as are two of our keynote speakers.
Pat Byrne, GE Digital CEO will present “From resiliency to innovation. A time for industrial superheroes.” When Pat spoke at last year’s user conference, he was just three months into his role at the helm of GE Digital. In the months that followed, so very much has happened. Together, we were hit with a massive disruption that has changed the way we interact with each other, how we tackle day-to-day business, and how we plan for the future. It is the force that brings us together in a new way, virtually, this October.
Throughout all of it, our customers have kept work and life moving forward. Every one of you and your teams deserve to feel like a superhero. It’s been a year that has demanded more creativity, leadership, and commitment from each of us. The determination and commitment you’ve had to muster is unmatched in modern business.
For us at GE Digital, it’s been an opportunity to streamline our own systems and processes, to create a lean culture and underscore our commitment to continuous process improvement to create value for customers. We can’t wait for Pat to share the three things that drive us each and every day.
While Pat has the honor of opening our virtual conference, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Colin Parris will be joining us on day two and three for a very important look ahead, “The Future of Digital”.
While everyone is on a different portion of the path to digital transformation, we all share the common goal of making our businesses smarter, leaner, and more profitable. We can create new technologies, we can build powerful solutions and scale them like never before, but if there’s no clear path to value, no clear return on investment, all we’re building is barriers. This is especially true in the world of industrial IoT, where innovation is often seen more as evolution than revolution.
Invention is the creation of technology; innovation is how you use that invention to extract value. That’s what we’re focused on at GE Digital; how do we build and implement solutions that provide the best, lasting value for our customers?
In his session, Colin will discuss critical advances in digital twin technology. He’ll introduce Humble AI, a digital twin that “partners” with its human operators to improve speed and accuracy of decision making. We’ll discuss, the Digital Ghost, a new paradigm for securing industrial assets and critical infrastructure from both malicious cyber-attacks and naturally occurring faults. And finally, digital twins that “talk.” We’re at a place where we’ve generated enough data and harnessed artificial intelligence applications to the point that digital twins can now “talk” to each other, learn from each other, and can educate other assets.
We hope you’ll join Pat, Colin, and some of our customers on October 13 – 15th for these important discussions.
Throughout the conference we promise you’ll get insight into our ever-evolving product portfolio along with many opportunities to meet other business leaders in industry-specific breakout sessions.
