Chief Information Security Officer, Grid Software Solutions, GE Digital
Ross McIntyre is the Chief Information Security Officer, Grid Software Solutions for GE Digital. In this role, Ross leads a dedicated team of cybersecurity and IT professionals responsible for information and data security of mission-critical information systems that help ensure reliable, efficient and safe delivery of electricity, water and fuels for utilities all over the world. This business serves the electrical Transmission and Distribution, Oil and Gas and Telecommunications segments across 120 countries and is a significant part of GE’s Digital Industrial strategy.
Ross joined GE in 1999 and has undertaken roles of increasing responsibility in the IT and Cybersecurity domain that included 11 years as CIO, Grid Software Solutions prior to becoming the business CISO in 2019.
Ross has played a key role in advancing Grid Software Solution’s IT & Cybersecurity capabilities ensuring GE’s software teams have secure access to the technologies and platforms to deliver world class solutions as part of an integrated Information Security Management Systems that recognizes GE’s critical role in managing the world’s critical national infrastructure.
Ross attended Napier University in Edinburgh and graduated with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He resides near Edinburgh in the UK, enjoying the peace and quiet of the country with his partner, Jacqueline and easy access to Scotland’s capital city.
