Katherine Butler brings 30 years of legal expertise in the computer software, hardware, and services sectors. She is currently the General Counsel at GE Digital.
Katherine has had two successful careers at GE. She served as General Counsel at GE for 17 years before moving to NComputing, a Silicon Valley start-up offering a disruptive end-to-end hardware and software virtualization solution, to be their Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
Prior/After to NComputing, she was Software AG Inc.’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel. At both NComputing and Software AG, she managed the legal department and also led the government affairs, finance, and human resources functions. Prior to joining Software AG, Katherine served as Senior Counsel with GE’s computing and information services business unit. She re-joined GE in 2012.
She earned an L.L.M. from Boston University, a J.D. from Suffolk University, and a B.A. from Smith College.
