Tianyi Wang, Senior Scientist in AI & Machine Learning at GE Research, Niskayuna, NY. Since joining GE Research in 2010, he has been leading and executing R&D in diversified AI & ML based applications for aircraft engines, gas turbines, wind turbines, power grid, etc.; he has also been devoted to AI & ML technology and tool development especially on time series anomaly detection, feature engineering, and learning system assurance. He has extensive experience in Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) for industrial assets. He was the overall winner of the 2008 PHM data challenge of the first International Conference on PHM, and the second winner in industrial category of the 2012 IEEE PHM data challenge. Most recently, he was heavily involved in the execution of the DOE grant on PMU big data analytics to discover significant grid event signatures. Prior to joining GE Research, he had been conducting research on PHM at the NSF I/UCR Center for IMS at University of Cincinnati. He is member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and the PHM society.
