Scripts Overview

The Scripts tool in GE Digital APM provides a way for you to utilize the Python programming language to create scripts for supervised machine learning or to create scripts that can receive data from inputs, make calculations, and then return one or more outputs. These python scripts can then be trained using the Workbench tab, as well as embedded within a Script node in Cognitive Analytics.

Scripts Workflow

This topic provides a basic workflow for using this feature, as well as links to the available procedures, concepts, and reference topics.

  1. Create a script. You can create a new script or create a script by copying a script that is delivered as part of the GE Digital APM baseline Catalog content.
  2. Configure and test the script. The steps to do this depend on the type of script you created:

    1. Machine learning
    2. Fuzzy logic
    3. General
  3. For a machine learning script, incrementally train the script so that it produces the desired results on your company’s data.
  4. Design a cognition in Cognitive Analytics to execute the script via a Classifier or Script node.
