Perform an Inspection

Before you begin

Generate samples for the material lot on which you want to perform inspection.

In the Inspection Criteria section, the quality variables and their serial numbers are displayed in table format. To see the descriptions for the quality variables, move the Show details slider to the right.
For each test, enter the value for each sample in the corresponding cell for the quality variable and serial number. When a cell is selected, a modal will appear that shows the tolerance limits for that variable. The color of the cell will correspond to the relative value in the cell as follows:

Use the tab key to move from sample to sample; use the enter key to move to the next quality variable.

For quality variables marked as common criteria (See Create Quality Variable Groups and Variables), a result entered for one serial number will be replicated for all serial numbers (as opposed to non-common criteria, for which you have to manually enter a result for each serial number).
If needed, you can add a sample, and perform inspection on that sample as well.
If needed, you can add a comment for a sample while performing the inspection.
