Associate Tool Category to an Operation on a Work Order

About this task

Use this procedure to associate a tool category, sub-category, or a single tool when adding a new operation on a work order.

Procedure

  1. On the Work Order Manager page, access the work order.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select , and then select Edit work order plan.
    The Edit Work Order Plan window appears.
  3. Select the Overview tab.
    The Overview page appears. You can modify or add new tools to existing operations or new operations.
  4. Go to the Tools tab, and then select .
    The Add Tools page appears and displays tool information.
  5. On the Add Tools page do the following:
    Field Description
    TOOL NAME Displays a list of tools configured. Select the required tool from the list. When a tool is out for calibration, it is disabled and cannot be selected.
    DESCRIPTION Enter the description for the tool.
  6. Select Add.
  7. Optional: To remove the tool, click Delete.
  8. To save tool details in the operation, click Save.
