About Failed Criteria

Failed Criteria displays variables that are outside of specification limits while creating a Non-conformance.

For serialized products, while creating a Non-conformance a unique defect will be created for each row in the Failed Criteria grid. For example, if Variable A and Variable B are out of specification limits, after you select Submit while creating a Non-Conformance, two defects will be created for the selected serial/lot. Both the defects will have the same NC Id and the PLAN number.

For non-serialized products, while creating a Non-conformance only one defect will be created regardless of the number of variables that are out of specification limits.

Once a non-conformance/defect has been created against the failed variables, any consequent defects cannot be created for the same failed variables (they will no longer be visible in Failed Criteria grid).
