Add a comment to an expired task or task step

When a task or task step has expired, you can enter a statement explaining the reason for the expiration.

Before you begin

Depending on your access permissions and client configuration, you can select either My Task List or Task Management view.

Note: Expiry comments are available only after the task or task step has expired.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Task List.
  2. If applicable, select the view you want to work in.
    Note: The default view is the Tasks tab.
    Click...To view...
    Tasks workflow tsks currently being executed.
    Task History completed tasks.
  3. Select the task that you want to work with.
  4. click the tast step that you want to work with.
  5. Click Actions.
  6. Click the appropriate Enter Comment button.

    Task Step Actions The Task Step Expiry Comment dialog box appears.
  7. In the Expiry Comment field, enter a reason the task or task step expired.
  8. Click OK.
