CIMPLICITYGenerate Self Signed SSL Certificate to Secure CIMPLICITY Web Clients
The CIMPLICITY web clients are secured through an SSL certificate.
The SSL certificate is generated through the config_service_cert batch file, which is
executed during the CIMPLICITY installation process.
Note: When you
launch CIMPLICITY web client, the browser validates the domain name provided in the URL with
the value of the USERDNSDOMAIN environment variable.
If the USERDNSDOMAIN environment variable is unavailable, the connection to the CIMPLICITY web client is not secure. To make the connection secure, replace the domain name in the URL with the computer name.
