You can do the following to increase the number of locks:

Procedure

Open the SQL Enterprise Manager in the Microsoft SQL Manager program group.
From the Server menu, select SQL Server, then Configure. The Server Configuration/Options dialog opens.
In the Server Configuration/Options dialog, select the Configuration page.
Find locks in the list.
Increase the number of locks.
Select OK.
Exit the SQL Enterprise Manager.

Results

The change takes place the next time the SQL Server is restarted.
