Sale company gears up for Road Safety Week on 21-27 November

Sale, Manchester, 18 November 2011: Activities, help and advice about how to avoid incidents behind the wheel are being given to workers at GE Capital Fleet Services throughout Road Safety Week from 21-27 November.

RAC Risk Management will also be giving a talk to pupils at a local secondary school -- Blessed Thomas Holford College in Urban Road, Altrincham -- about how to stay safe as a young pedestrian and road user.

Tower Bridge new lighting system - round-up of news

One of the most iconic landmarks in the world, London's Tower Bridge is set to get a makeover for the 2012 Games, in time to be beamed around the world to millions of people when all eyes turn to the capital for London 2012.

Plans to replace Tower Bridge's 25 year old lights with a new energy efficient system were granted final planning consents in October 2011. The state of the art LED lighting and cabling system will be installed in time for next year's 2012 celebrations.

Australia, 21 October 2011: Almost 1,000 GE staff across Australia and New Zealand will hit the streets today for a sponsored 'pink walk' to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research on Pink Ribbon Day.

GE employees will walk en-masse sporting pink T-shirts in seven locations, including Melbourne's Yarra River, Sydney's Opera House, Auckland's harbour as well as sites in Brisbane, Adelaide, Parramatta and Rydalmere.
