GE Aviation Names TAE as the M601 and H80 Designated Repair Center in Asia-Pacific

ORLANDO, FLORIDA - Australian-based TAE signed an agreement with GE Aviation to become the M601 and H80 Designated Repair Center for the Asia-Pacific region.

Under this agreement, TAE will offer heavy repair services, engines rentals, line replacement unit rotable pools and field service support to all existing and future M601 and H80 engines in the Asia-Pacific region. GE Aviation will provide the necessary OEM parts to meet TAE's needs.

佛罗里达奥兰多 - 2012年10月31日 - 总部设在澳大利亚的TAE与GE航空签署一项协议,成为M601和H80在亚太区的指定维修中心。

Ge本田航空发动机hf120即将完成取证测试

佛罗里达州奥兰多 - 2012年10月29日 - GE本田航空发动机公司今天宣布其HF120发动机将在年底前完成美国联邦航空局(FAA)的取证测试。

GE本田航空发动机总裁滕锐(Terry Sharp)表示:"今年,HF120发动机顺利完成了数项取证测试。GE本田航空发动机已向美国联邦航空局提交了超过93%的认证文件,其中超过83%已获批准。我们预计12月底前完成其余的测试,并希望于2013年中获得美国联邦航空局的发动机型号许可证。"

中航工业与GE强强联手,打造未来民用航电领导者

2012年10月20日,中国上海 - 中国航空工业集团公司(中航工业)和美国通用电气公司(GE)合资建立的民用航空电子系统供应商中航通用电气民用航电系统有限责任公司(中航通用电气),今天正式揭牌成立,其位于上海紫竹中航民用航空电子产业园的新办公总部也举行了奠基仪式。中航通用电气将成为首个入驻园区的企业。

中航通用电气的新办公楼使用面积超过3.6万平方米(36万平方英尺),能够容纳800到1000名员工,预计于2014年启用。办公楼将配备世界级的航电办公设施,为中航通用电气打造下一代综合航电解决方案提供全方位的研发、集成及测试能力,从而更好地服务中国和全球客户。除了上海总部,中航通用电气的全球团队在美国密歇根州大急流城市和英国切尔腾纳姆市也有办公地点。

Rocket Science: New “Ceramic” Jet Engine Has Space Shuttle Pedigree

Soon after the Space Shuttle Columbia broke up on descent from orbit in February 2003, material scientists and engineers at a GE plant in Newark, Delaware, started building a set of repair kits long thought impossible.

Columbia suffered a crack in its left wing when it was hit by a briefcase-size insulating foam fragment that fell from a fuel tank during take-off. During her return, superheated air entered the spacecraft through the wound and ripped the shuttle apart 15 minutes before touchdown.
