GEヘルスケアグループ（以下GEヘルスケア）の世界中核拠点の1つであるGEヘルスケア・ジャパン株式会社（本社：東京都日野市、社長：川上潤）は、クラウドコンピューティングを活用した医療用画像のデータホスティング・サービス「医知の蔵（いちのくら）」を、本日7月1日（金）に販売開始します。
医知の蔵は、当社のPACS*1（医用画像管理システム）を導入している顧客医療機関が撮影したCT（コンピューター断層撮影装置）やMRI（磁気共鳴断層撮影装置）、PET（陽電子放射断層撮影装置）などの医用画像を、ソフトバンクテレコム株式会社（本社：東京都港区、社長：孫正義）の保有するデータセンター設備を活用して院外保存するクラウド型の医療サービス。当社は医用画像の保存に関する運用管理業務を手掛けます。
