北京，2014年8月5日------通用电气（GE）公司今天宣布向云南昭通鲁甸地震灾区捐赠价值300万元的医疗设备，将在云南省卫计委救援指挥部的统一调配下，用于抗震救灾。目前，GE首批前线救援分队也已经准备就绪，将前往灾区指定医院，安装设备并培训医生，协助现场医护人员开展伤病救助。
GE此次捐赠的医疗设备是从昆明、成都、上海等地紧急调集，包括：便携式超声仪Vscan、监护仪、心电仪和除颤仪等。这些设备曾在去年雅安地震救援中发挥重大作用，辅助医疗队专家和医护人员开展迅速和高效的诊断、监护、手术等急救措施。特别在伤病员无法对外转送的震中地区，小巧便携的除颤仪将成为"生命的最后一道防线"。
