GEは、設置場所や設置期間に制約が少なく、高い信頼性を有する発電方式として、トレーラー搭載型の航空機エンジン転用型ガスタービンTM2500の100基目が生産されたことを発表しました。
GEの「トレーラー搭載型発電設備」として知られているこのTM2500はおよそ十数年前に発表された製品です。今回の100基目は50Hz向けのTM2500を製造しているハンガリーのヴェレシェジハーズ工場の製造ラインから出荷されました。60Hz向けのTM2500はテキサス・ヒューストン郊外のジャシントポート製造工場で組み立てられています。
