In the navigator, you can quickly locate any resource that exists in your project without having to browse for them. You can use both a basic and advanced searches.

    In the navigator, you can quickly locate any resource that exists in your project without having to browse for them. You can use both a basic and advanced searches.
    - IDirectorySearch
      IDirectorySearch allows you to search the Directory of Resources for a set of resources based on a search query, or for a list of resources based on a resource class.

    - Advanced Search
      With advanced search, you can quickly locate any resource that exists in your project by constructing search expressions. You create expressions using classifications, which consist of a model and an attribute or a property that is defined within that model.

About this task

Procedure

In the Navigator, click the Search tab.
From the Search drop-down list, select a search criterion.
Optionally, in the Filter By section, click Name or Description.
Optionally, in the Filter Text section, enter text that matches resources you want to search for.
Click Fetch Results.
The search results are displayed in the Results pane.
