Dr. Sayan Ghosh is a Lead Engineer in the Probabilistic Design and Optimization group at GE Research, Niskayuna, USA. He has 7+ years research experience in Aerospace Engineering, decision making with uncertainty, Bayesian methods, Dynamic Bayesian networks, Machine Learning, meta-modeling, optimization, uncertainty quantification & management, multi-disciplinary analysis, and reliability analysis. His broad responsibilities include development and application of state-of-the-art probabilistic/statistical models and machine learning techniques to solve challenging engineering problems to improve productivity, reduce cost and time in the domain of design of mechanical systems, prognostics, diagnostics, optimization, and uncertainty quantification. He has published over 20 research papers in multiple international conferences and journal. He is a key GE Research technical contributor to the GE Aviation engine prognostics and removal planning program.
