Last call for GE management training programme- where experience counts

GE is still recruiting individuals with particular specialist skills for its highly respected Experienced Commercial Leadership Programme (Europe, Middle East and Africa) starting in July 09.

Open to candidates with over five years of work experience, the ECLP is a two year 'career acceleration' programme for outstanding individuals with previous marketing and sales experience. The scheme involves a number of rotational assignments, plus coursework including six weeks classroom training, global in-residence symposiums and interactive seminars. Typical locations for assignments can be London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan, Prague, Moscow, Brussels and Dubai.

There are still vacancies on the July 2009 programme for individuals with specialist experience of working with government organisations and related agencies. Applications close on 15th May.

Candidates need to be highly educated with commercial acumen and a strong record of achievement. For ECLP roles in GE Energy, GE Transportation, GE Oil and Gas, and GE Aviation a Bachelors/Masters in Engineering is essential with an MBA or marketing major preferred. For ECLP roles in GE Water a Bachelors/Masters in Chemical Engineering is required, with an MBA or marketing major preferred. For candidates applying to GE Capital, GE Healthcare, and NBC Universal a Masters or MBA is preferred. Candidates are assigned to the different GE businesses based on their background and past track-record..

Programme manager Kay Dawson from GE commented: "This programme is a great opportunity for individuals with existing commercial experience to further their careers."

Successful candidates will be hired into a specific country or business, but will require geographic mobility and flexibility throughout EMEA for the duration of the programme. ECLP also operates in the US and Canada, Latin America (Mexico and Brazil), India, China, Japan and SE Asia.
