A la demande du gouvernement français, nous avons convenu, en concertation avec Alstom, de prolonger le délai d'étude de notre offre par le conseil d'administration d'Alstom jusqu'au 23 juin. Nous avons pris cette décision pour permettre d'approfondir les discussions constructives, que nous avons actuellement avec le gouvernement. Le projet industriel que nous avons presente est bon pour Alstom, bon pour la France ainsi que pour GE. Nous considérons que ce nouveau délai est une bonne chose.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; May 15, 2014: GE ecomagination and Aramco Entrepreneurship launched an open global technology challenge recently to accelerate the development of solutions focused on improving the energy efficiency of seawater desalination. Four winners will be awarded with the prize of US$50,000 (RM161,000) each, bringing the total grant for the challenge to US$200,000 (RM644,000). Beyond this, the best ideas may also stand the chance to receive further investments towards commercialization by GE.

这类金属开关的大小甚至不及一根头发丝的宽度，能够控制一系列电气系统的电流，从应用千瓦级功率的设备到普通灯泡。这一技术的未来应用意义深远，开关的使用范围很广，从手持电子设备、工业设备到防护设备。GE的MEMS开关与其他MEMS技术的不同之处在于GE研究员研制的独特材料组合，使得开关能够在极端运行条件下，比如高温，运行数十亿次 ，同时但能够保持极低的接触电阻。
在显微镜下观测，置于一枚美国一角硬币上的晶元包含400个MEMS开关。此器件由GE金属MEMS技术制成，能在这么微小的系统结构上，可控制多达1千瓦的能量。若需在移动设备上应用，此项技术可按比例缩小并微型化处理。

KUALA LUMPUR -- April 28, 2014 -- AirAsia X, the long haul, low fare airline affiliate of the AirAsia Group and GE Aviation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the selection of CF6-80E1 engines to power AirAsia X's 25 new firm Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with options for an additional three A330 aircraft. These engines will be covered by a multi-year OnPointSM solution service agreement for engine maintenance, repair and overhaul.
