Fourth Quarter Earnings

January 20, 2012

GE announced fourth-quarter 2011 Operating Earnings of $4.1 billion, or $0.39 per share, up 6% and 11% respectively from the fourth-quarter of 2010. Revenues were $38.0 billion for the quarter and $147.3 billion for the year. Record Infrastructure orders of $28.6 billion in the fourth quarter enabled GE to end the year with a backlog of $200 billion, the largest in its history.

GE Capital's study into Australia's mid-market points to a critical time in the growth outlook for a part of the economy capable of acting as a broader engine for growth.

[Melbourne, Australia]: Data from a new study shows that Australian medium sized businesses have and continue to be more focused on growth than any other sector in the Australian economy. But falling future expectations of growth are now clouding the prospects for the mid-market which generates more than one third of the economy's total revenue and hires more than 3.2 million Australians.

Sydney, Australia: GE Capital today announced it had provided Accolade Wines, the largest wine company by volume in Australia and the UK, with a A$220 million cross border financing facility.

The deal will support CHAMP Private Equity, an 80% owner of Accolade Wines and one of Australia's leading Private Equity fund managers, in its plans to fund the growth of the business.

GE employees turn the streets pink for Breast Cancer research

Australia, 21 October 2011: Almost 1,000 GE staff across Australia and New Zealand will hit the streets today for a sponsored 'pink walk' to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research on Pink Ribbon Day.

GE employees will walk en-masse sporting pink T-shirts in seven locations, including Melbourne's Yarra River, Sydney's Opera House, Auckland's harbour as well as sites in Brisbane, Adelaide, Parramatta and Rydalmere.
