米国の電力会社であるエンタジーは、このたび、GE日立ニュークリア･エナジー(以下、GE日立)が設計した次世代原子炉｢ESBWR(Economic and Simplified Boiling Water Reactor)｣を採用した原子力発電設備を新たに建設するために、建設・運転一体許可申請書（以下、COLA）を米国原子力規制委員会に提出しました。今回、エンタジーが建設を予定している発電設備は、ルイジアナ州リバーベンド発電所に新設するもので、今年の2月に申請している、ミシシッピ州グランドガルフ発電所に新設する発電設備のCOLA申請に続き、2件目になります。エンタジーとGE日立は、これらの発電設備に関して、すでに長納期品に関する契約を締結しており、今後は、発電設備の建設に向けて、主要機器の契約締結に取り組んでいきます。
Entergy Selects GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy's ESBWR Design in License Application to NRC

The pilot program will help consumers track their electricity consumption and empower them to control their energy costs.
