Acquires majority stake in Indo Tech Transformers, Ltd.
NEW DELHI, INDIA---May 20, 2009---Prolec GE International, S. DE R.L. DE C.V. (Prolec GE) announced the acquisition of a majority of stake of Indo Tech Transformers, LTD (Indo Tech) of Chennai, India, a company that specializes in power and distribution transformers, has been completed.

GE日立ニュークリア・エナジー(GEH)は、本日、インドのエンジニアリング・建設最大手であるラーセン＆トゥブロ(L&T)と、原子力発電所の開発で合意しました。
今回の合意は、現地サプライヤーと広範囲の供給網を確立し、将来GEHが設計した改良型沸騰水型原子炉(ABWR)の原子力発電所をインドで建設する際の支援体制を構築するというGEHの戦略の一環として、契約を結んだものです。インドでは、原子力発電能力を現在の4.1ギガワットから2030年までに10倍以上の60ギガワットに拡大する目標で、複数の原子力発電所の建設を計画しており、ABWRの発電所はその一つとなります。原子力発電拡大計画は、インドにおける電気需要の急増に対応するためのエネルギー基盤拡大計画の重要な要素をなすものです。
GEHの1,350メガワット型ABWR技術は、世界で唯一商業運転を行っている第3世代の先進原子炉設計を採用しています。1996年以来4基が運転を開始しており、そのほか4基が建設中です。

2009年5月14日, 中国常州，宾夕法尼亚州伊利--通用电气（NYSE: GE）旗下GE运输系统集团宣布由其中国合作伙伴中国南车戚墅堰机车有限公司在中国本地组装的首批国内最大功率内燃机车-和谐N5型干线机车于5月7日收到铁道部最终验收。
此次收到最终验收的和谐N5型干线机车共四台机车, 车号分别为"HXn50009, 50014, 50015, 50017", 已正式从常州戚墅堰出厂并抵达齐齐哈尔, 于5月12日正式承担在齐齐哈尔到满洲里铁路线（受中国东北的哈尔滨铁路局管辖）上托运货物的任务。
和谐N5型干线机车最大输出功率为 6,250 马力，可拖动相当于 240 架波音 747"空中巨无霸"飞机的重量, 该机车作为GE公司运输系统集团Evolution®系列，是当今技术最先进，高效节能，载重量最大的内燃电力机车。
CHICAGO--04 May 2009-- Following its successful debut in Europe and Asia, GE Energy today announced that its 2.5-megawatt (MW) wind turbine is coming to America.
The 2.5xl, which is the latest evolution of the company's wind turbine technology, will be launched in North America in 2010. More than 100 of the 2.5-MW machines already have been installed in seven countries and have compiled more than one million operating hours.
