Qantas Group signs $2.0 Billion Order for advanced Leap-1A Engines to power A320neo aircraft

First CFM-powered A320 aircraft in Qantas Group fleet

Extends 20-year relationship with CFM, a 50/50 joint venture between GE and Snecma

Sydney, Australia -- 19 April 2012: The Qantas Group today announced it has signed a US$2.0 billion order (including spare engines) for advanced LEAP-1A engines to power 78 Airbus A320neo aircraft currently on order.

The LEAP engine, developed by CFM International (a 50/50 joint venture between GE and Snecma (Safran group), is one of the world's most advanced aircraft engines, delivering:
