列车运行优化系统是一套先进的列车操作系统，它可基于不同机车的组成和行驶路线，对燃油消耗进行优化。该系统先计算出最佳燃油消耗速度曲线，然后按照计算速度自动控制牵引手柄。列车运行优化系统使用 GPS，数字化的轨道数据库，通过自动学习和了解列车特性的高级运算法则达到节省列车燃油消耗的功能。该系统对列车的长度、重量、线路坡度、轨道状况、天气和列车性能进行评估，从而计算出保持列车平稳操作的最有效方式。
