【パリ - 2013年7月1日】 GEのパワーコンバージョン事業のインダクションモータ式電気推進技術を採用したギリシャ・マランガスの電気推進LNGタンカー第一号が、7月に商業航海を開始予定と発表しました。第一号となる「ウッドサイド・ロジャース（Woodside Rogers）号」は韓国の大手造船メーカーの1社である大宇造船海洋（DSME）が同社釜山近郊の造船所にて建造、4月下旬に試験航海に成功し、7月1日にマランガスに納入されました。同船はDSMEがマランガスより受注し、今後2015年中に完納するLNGタンカー7隻のうち最初に納入されるものであり、GEの電気推進技術を採用しています。
