范堡罗，英国 -- 2010年7月19日 --中国的载旗航空公司中国国际航空公司今天宣布为其确认订购的20架空客A320飞机选择了CFM56-5B发动机。发动机协议价值近6亿美元（价目表价格），包括一项长期维修协议。
在该新发动机订单之外，国航还签署了一项按飞行小时付费（RPFH）的维修协议，CFM将为国航机队中的CFM56发动机提供全面的维修服务，在此协议下，CFM将保证按发动机飞行小时收取维修费用。
国航是中国最大的民用航空公司并且是CFM国际公司的长期用户。国航将于2011年起开始接收这批飞机。除了今天宣布的20架A320飞机外，国航已运营着55架由CFM56-5B为动力的空客A320系列和118架由CFM56-3及-7B为动力的波音737系列飞机，另外，还有6架以CFM56-5C为动力的四发远程空客A340-300飞机。

在选择发动机的同时，东航还与CFM签署了一项长期的按飞行小时付费（RPFH, Rate per Flight Hour）的维修协议，CFM将为东航机队中的CFM56发动机提供全面的维修服务，在此协议下，CFM将保证按发动机飞行小时收取维修费用。
中国东方航空公司于1994年订购了由CFM56-5C发动机提供动力的远程四发空客A340飞机，从此成为CFM的用户。如今，东航是CFM在中国最大的用户，目前运营着约500台CFM56-3/-5B/-5C和-7B发动机。
