Florence, Italy; July 30, 2008: VetcoGray, a GE Oil & Gas business, applied its latest technology to overcome unique challenges, reduce project costs and risks, and successfully convert an exploration well to full production service at Agiba Petroleum Company's West Ashrafi hydrocarbon facility in Egypt's Gulf of Suez, Red Sea.
The project marks the first time that VetcoGray has converted a mudline exploration system to an SG-1 wellhead subsea system for production duty. The newly converted well entered service in April of this year.

Lorenzo Simonelli to lead GE Transportation
FAIRFIELD, Conn.---July 17, 2008-- General Electric Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt announced today the appointment of John Dineen as president and CEO of GE Healthcare, a $17 billion global leader in medical diagnostic technology and biosciences. Immelt also announced that Lorenzo Simonelli will succeed Dineen as president and CEO of GE Transportation.

Farnborough; July 15, 2008: Arik Air, Nigeria's leading domestic carrier, has selected the GEnx engine to power its new seven Boeing 787 aircraft. The airline has also finalized its engine order of five GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777-300ER/-200LR aircraft. The total value of both engine deals is more than $500 million USD list price.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA -- SEPTEMBER 7, 2007 - Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centre (EHHC) and GE Healthcare, recently signed the first 'One GE Healthcare' contract in South Africa. According to this strategic agreement, GE Healthcare will supply all the cardiology departments of the new 250-bed hospital with a range of cardiology-related technology and equipment.
The hospital is currently under construction, and it is anticipated that it will open its doors to the community in mid-2008.
