GE employees turn the streets pink for Breast Cancer research

Australia, 21 October 2011: Almost 1,000 GE staff across Australia and New Zealand will hit the streets today for a sponsored 'pink walk' to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research on Pink Ribbon Day.

GE employees will walk en-masse sporting pink T-shirts in seven locations, including Melbourne's Yarra River, Sydney's Opera House, Auckland's harbour as well as sites in Brisbane, Adelaide, Parramatta and Rydalmere.

Geraldton, Western Australia, Aug. 31, 2011 --- First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR), Verve Energy and GE (NYSE: GE) unit GE Energy Financial Services announced today that Australia's first utility-scale solar power project is under way. Output from the 10-megawatt AC project on 80 hectares of cleared land 50km southeast of Geraldton will contribute to offsetting the energy requirements of the Southern Seawater Desalination Plant.
