Australia, 21 October 2011: Almost 1,000 GE staff across Australia and New Zealand will hit the streets today for a sponsored 'pink walk' to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research on Pink Ribbon Day.
GE employees will walk en-masse sporting pink T-shirts in seven locations, including Melbourne's Yarra River, Sydney's Opera House, Auckland's harbour as well as sites in Brisbane, Adelaide, Parramatta and Rydalmere.
GE announced third-quarter 2011 operating earnings of $3.4 billion, or $0.31 per share, up 11%, from the third quarter of 2010 (excluding effects of the preferred redemption).

Sydney, Australia -- 1 September, 2011 - GE (NYSE:GE) today announced that it has joined Virgin Australia and a consortium of other partners to research and develop commercial biofuel for the aviation industry.
