GE Energy and DUBAL sign Long-Term Service Agreement to Help Reduce Cost of Aluminum Production

Dubai, UAE; 25 August, 2009: GE Energy has signed a multi-year service contract for more than US$45 million with Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (DUBAL), one of the world's largest producers of premium quality aluminum. The agreement is designed to reduce the cost of aluminum production while maximizing the reliability and overall performance of 19 GE gas turbines that power the DUBAL production complex.

Since entering service in August 2008, the GP7200-powered Airbus A380 has had no in-flight shutdowns, and the engine has demonstrated a departure reliability rate greater than 99.9%.

GAMA, GE To Bring Water to Northern Jordan Through Investment In US$1 Billion Pipeline

A milestone in a strategically important new water supply that will help alleviate a severe water shortage in Jordan's capital and surrounding area has been reached with funding of construction of a pipeline project by GAMA Energy A.S., a joint venture between GAMA Holding A.S. and GE (NYSE:GE) unit GE Energy Financial Services. The US$1 billion Disi Water Conveyance Project includes construction of a 325-kilometer pipeline that will pump water from the Disi aquifer in Mudawarra to Jordan's most populous city, the capital of Amman.

Etihad Airways Orders $3.9 Billion in GE Engines & Services for Boeing 777 & 787 Aircraft

LE BOURGET -- June 16, 2009 -- Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has selected the GEnx-1B engine to power its new fleet of 35 Boeing 787-9 aircraft and 10 GE90-115B-powered Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The total value of both engine orders is worth $2.2 billion (USD) list price. Additionally, the airline holds options for 25 Boeing 787 aircraft and 10 Boeing 777-300ERs with purchase rights for a further 10 Boeing 787 and five Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Emirates Signs Fleet Management Agreement with Engine Alliance for GP7200 Engines

Emirates and the Engine Alliance signed a Fleet Management Agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the Emirates GP7200 engines that power its A380 fleet. The Fleet Management Agreement is valued at more than $3 billion (USD) over the life of the contract.
