FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Dubai, UAE -- November 19th, 2009 ---(NYSE: GE) GE Capital, the finance arm of General Electric (NYSE: GE) announced the completion of its inaugural "sukuk" Islamic bond issuance tailored for investors across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. The five-year US$ 500 million denominated sukuk had strong demand and makes GE Capital the first US corporate issuer of an Islamic bond. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
UAE, Dubai; November 16, 2009: Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has selected CFM56-5B engines to power 20 new Airbus A320 family aircraft. The engine order is valued at approximately $270 million U.S. at list price and DAE is scheduled to begin taking delivery in early 2011. These 20 aircraft are part of a 70-aircraft order the leasing company announced in July 2008.

DUBAI, U.A.E. -- 15 November 2009 -- Libyan Airlines has become a new CFM International customer with the selection of CFM56-5B engines to power seven firm, five option Airbus A320 family aircraft. The firm engine order is valued at approximately $95 million U.S. at list price and the airline is scheduled to begin taking delivery in mid-2010.
Libyan Airlines, based in Tripoli, was founded in 1964 as the national flag carrier of Libya. It operates scheduled passenger and cargo services within Libya and Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

DUBAI, U.A.E. -- 15 November 2009 -- Tunisair has placed a $180 million order for CFM56-5B engines to power 10 firm A320 family aircraft. The airline, which also took options on two additional aircraft, is scheduled to begin taking delivery in June 2010.

Dubai, UAE; November 9, 2009: GE Aviation has delivered its 1000th GE90 engine to Boeing for a 777-300ER aircraft for Emirates Airline. The engine, a GE90-115B engine, was recently shipped from GE's outdoor test facility in Peebles, Ohio, to Boeing's Washington facility for installation on the aircraft. Emirates Airlines is the largest GE90 engine operator with 60 GE90-powered Boeing 777 in service and an additional 26 aircraft on order.
