SAN RAMON, Calif. – November 4, 2021 – GE Digital today announced the introduction of Proficy 2022, featuring major enhancements across the entire Proficy portfolio as well as new software additions. This portfolio-wide release aligns all Proficy software versioning and provides customers with confidence that they are using a validated set of components in their unique use case. All solutions are designed and tested to work together to drive value as an overall solution, delivering richer and richer features as a company evolves its digital transformation journey. Validated interoperability helps make all of this possible with products working seamlessly together, able to be upgraded across a company’s solution with ease and confidence leveraging underlying technologies that span the portfolio.

“Digital transformation isn’t about implementing point solutions,” said Richard Kenedi, General Manager of GE Digital’s Manufacturing and Digital Plant Software business. “Industrial organizations worldwide are on a journey, and continuous innovation in our portfolio drives continuous improvement for customers – whether seeking to improve efficiency or increase sustainability in a circular economy. While we continue to make major enhancements to core products, we are also delivering on the needs for cloud, no code/low code, and composable applications.”

Many of our industrial customers started their digital transformation journeys with HMI/SCADA, then evolved with MES and industrial data management, and today, they are implementing analytics/AI as well as Operational Technology (OT) and business intelligence (BI). As these industrial companies evolve their digitalization, benefits increase and continue to unfold.

Continuous Innovation = Continuous Improvement

“The post-pandemic economy requires software solutions that accelerate digital transformation by providing greater visibility and control,” according to Craig Resnick, Vice President, ARC Advisory Group. “GE Digital’s investments in its comprehensive Proficy Unified Portfolio will greatly expand how it serves customers with modern HMI/SCADA and scalable historian technologies, as well as new products spanning cloud-based MES and analytics. The across-the-board introduction of no code/low code technology on universal configuration tools for deploying scalable HMI/SCADA, MES, Historian, Analytics, and Enterprise-wide System Management and Production Optimization solutions further enable the capabilities of a remote and mobile workforce without compromising security.”

With products releasing November 2021 through January 2022, the Proficy 2022 portfolio release is rich in new capabilities while providing GE’s proven reliability and security. A new low code data flow engine across the solutions creates runtime logic to transform data for visualization. This reduces development time and provides faster time to value. This capability will first be available in Proficy Plant Applications 2022 and Proficy Operations Hub 2022. Simplified authorization and authentication management drive common, cross-portfolio security.

New products to be introduced as part of this unified launch will span to cloud MES, analytics, and production orchestration – as well as major enhancements to iFIX and CIMPLICITY, both part of the Proficy HMI/SCADA family, Proficy Historian, and other products. In addition, a new common installer will be introduced with solutions throughout  2022 to make it easier for companies to quickly and easily install new and upgraded software.
