Landmark dazzles in diamond white for Queen's Jubilee weekend
Tower Bridge, one of the world's most recognisable landmarks, has been transformed with a new world-class lighting system in time to mark the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The new state-of-the-art, energy efficient lighting system will have its first official switch on this evening and then will gleam white this weekend to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
LONDON, 18th May 2012: Savvy savers are going back to basics to set aside more money for a rainy day, with a projected 2.5 million[1] new savers collectively depositing an estimated £370 million[2] over recent weeks, according to the first GE Capital Direct Savings Census. GE announced first-quarter 2012 Operating Earnings of $3.6 billion, or $0.34 per share, up 1% and 3% respectively from the first-quarter of 2011.
