DOHA, Qatar • 21 September 2022 – QatarEnergy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with General Electric (GE) to collaborate on developing a carbon capture roadmap for the energy sector in Qatar. The focus of the MoU is to explore the feasibility of developing a world-scale carbon hub at Ras Laffan Industrial City, which as of today, is home to more than 80 GE gas turbines.
Baghdad, Iraq; September 14, 2022: Building on its long-term commitment to support Iraq in further strengthening its power infrastructure, GE Gas Power (NYSE: GE) signed an agreement with Taurus Arm, owner of the 500 megawatts (MW) Bazyan Power Plant, to provide parts, repairs, and services for two 9F.04 gas turbines at the facility for a period of 16 years. The turbines were supplied by GE to Taurus Arm in 2021 under a fast-track project, where they were delivered to the site within months of notice to proceed.
