Portneuf, Quebec, February 23, 2011 -- GE and The Government of Canada announced today they are each investing $1.3 million, for a research project with Les Serres St-Laurent (Savoura) and McGill University, to develop innovative LED lighting technology for commercial greenhouses to help improve growing efficiency while reducing business operational costs.

Potential for Up to 50 New Jobs at Research and Technology Development Centre
Winnipeg, Manitoba -- February 15, 2011 -- GE Canada and StandardAero have signed an agreement to build a new $50 million aircraft engine research and technology development centre in Winnipeg. The centre is expected to initially employ 10 with the potential to grow to 50 employees within five years. The design and construction of the facility at the airport could employ up to 200 workers.
