暨2005年2月GE运输系统签署了由GE运输系统为中国大秦线提供Locotrol系统及其技术解决方案的合同，以帮助全国运煤主干线大秦线大幅提高运力。2006年中国农历新年前夕，GE运输系统和铁道部就增强Locotrol与GSMR网络的集成签署了大约价值400万美金的合同。该协议囊括了升级组件，工程设计及相关技术服务支持。

미국의 포천(Fortune)은 2월 21일, 2006년 세계에서 가장 존경받는 기업(World's Most Admired Company)으로 지난 해에 이어 GE를 재선정했다. GE는 미국에서 가장 존경 받는 기업에서도 1위를 기록했다. 포천은 모두 6번 GE를 1위에 선정하였다. GE가 연속 1위를 기록하는 비결에 대해 포천은 "여론조사 대상자인 경영인들이 GE를 좋아하기 때문"이며 "경영인들이 GE를 애정 어린 눈길로 바라보는 이유는 GE가 늘 새로운 경영 아이디어를 제시하며 다른 기업들이 따라야 할 방향을 제시해주기 때문"이라고 말했다. 지난 1892~1912년 GE를 이끈 찰스 코핀회장은 최초로 대기업 조직을 설계하였다. 즉, 일찌기 GE가 생산한 최고의 발명품은 전구가 아닌 경영능력이었다고 포천은 설명했다. GE는 1900년, 세계최초로 연구개발(R&D)센터를 설립했으며 1930년에는 노조와 협력관계 구축에 초점을 두고 연금과 이익에 기반한 보너스 제도를 만들었다. 1950년에는 기업 관리자 지침서인 '블루북(Blue Book)'을 펴냈으며 1960년대에는 전략기획의 개념을 고안했다.

The Star, Metro Section, Malaysia - NEARLY 300 children from 13 orphanages under the Cybercare network were treated to the movie King Kong on the big screen recently. The cinema at MidValley Mega-mall was filled with the excited young children. Popcorn and goodie bags added to the merriment among the children.
To the children's delight, the hairy creature came to life in the form of a mascot that later posed with them for the camera.
Santa Rina and the God of Prosperity also went around distributing more goodies.

Dubai, 12 February, 2006: GE, the global technology, media and financial services company, raised AED 16,500 for cancer research in the UAE by taking part in the Dubai Terry Fox Run 2006 - Marathon of Hope race for the third year in a row. Almost 80 charity runners from GE's Women's Network and GE Volunteers took part in the 6.2 kilometer distance run which started at the Wonderland Creek and headed out to the Al Maktoum Bridge before returning to the Creek.
