GE recently signed a contract to install its first evolution compressor at Midway Sunset Cogeneration Company's (MSCC) power plant near Taft, California.

昨年12月19日から3か月間に渡って開催される、プラスチックを使用した自動車のデザインとプロトタイプ作成コンテストPLASTiconに、ロンドンの名門、イギリス王立芸術大学（RCA）の車両設計学科の学生が挑戦する。約20名の学生がPLASTiconに参加し、樹脂ガラス、プラスチックボディパネル、照明/灯体技術など、GEの革新的な技術が未来の自動車設計にどのように活かせるかを探ることになる。このコンテストでは、幅広いマーケット（たとえばSUV車のオーナーから、自動車購入年齢に達したジェネレーションYとよばれる客層まで）の需要を満たす「ブルースカイ」車両の調査、設計、およびモデル制作を競い合う。
