石巻・開北小6年生の想いが込められた「夢のゴミ箱」が地元企業の協力で実現
GEがおこなっているボランティア活動「地域に役立つ発明家になろう！プロジェクト」は、GE社員が小学校を訪れ、児童5-6名と社員2-3名が一つのチームになって学校付近の課題を見つけ、全員で解決策を討議・発明し、クラスで発表するワークショップです。
過去11年間継続的に実施しており、2013年度は7ヵ所の学校・施設で開催しました。2013年の年間優秀作品に選ばれた 宮城県石巻市開北小学校6年生のアイディアに対し、今般、石巻市の地元企業の支援を得ることができ、子どもたちの夢を叶える製品化が実現しました。（写真 は右から「春」「秋」「冬」篇のごみ箱）
