SHANNON, Ireland, April 27, 2011 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing unit of GE, announced delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased to TUI Airlines Nederland B.V. operating as Arkefly, a wholly owned unit of TUI Travel PLC. The aircraft comes from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing.
Based in the Netherlands, Arkefly currently operates mostly charter flights to some 33 destinations with a fleet of seven aircraft.
