ILFC Selects GE - Aviation Engines to Power New Boeing Aircraft

FARNBOROUGH, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2006--International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) has selected the GEnx and GE90 engines to power its new Boeing 787 and 777 fleets. The value of the engines ordered is more than $750 million.

The aircraft leasing company has ordered GEnx engines for up to 24 Boeing 787 aircraft, including firm and options. The GEnx is a best-selling engine for new wide-body aircraft, with orders exceeding 600 engines.

UPS Selects GP7200 Engines for Airbus A380 Fleet

FARNBOROUGH, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 18, 2006--UPS has selected GP7200 engines to power its fleet of Airbus A380 freighter aircraft.

The UPS engine selection follows its 10 firm Airbus A380 aircraft orders. UPS also has options on 10 additional A380 aircraft. The value of the order was not disclosed. Aircraft deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2009.

Lion Air Places $360 Million CFM56-7B Order to Power 30 Additional 737-900ERs

FARNBOROUGH, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2006--Indonesian carrier Lion Air today announced that it has firmed option orders for 30 additional CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737-900ER aircraft. The engine order is valued at $360 million at list price. The airline, which placed an initial order for 30 aircraft in July 2005, will begin taking delivery of the new 737s in the first half of 2007.

Shannon Engine Support Places $240 Million CFM56-7B Spare Engine Order

FARNBOROUGH, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 17, 2006--Shannon Engine Support (SES) today announced an order for 40 CFM56-7B spare engines. The order is valued at $240 million at list price and the engines are scheduled for delivery between late 2006 and 2010.

CFM56-7B engines are produced by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company between Snecma and General Electric Company. SES is a wholly owned subsidiary of CFM International.

(2005년 12월 14일, 오하이오주, 에반데일) 대한항공이 구입 예정인 보잉 787 드림라이너에 장착할 엔진으로 GEnx엔진(10개 확정, 10개 옵션)이 선정되었다. 확정 엔진 구입 규모는 2억4천만불이며 엔진은 2009년 초 인도된다. Emirates Airlines Orders US$2.5 Billion in GE90 Engines and OnPoint Solution Services from GE

Dubai, 23 November, 2005:Emirates Airlines has ordered 42 extended-range Boeing 777 aircraft, all powered by GE90 engines, with purchase right for 20 additional aircrafts.

These GE90-115B engines will be covered by a 12-year, OnPointSM Solution service agreement with GE for maintenance and overhaul.

The combined value of the GE90 engine purchase and OnPoint Solution agreement for GE is more than US$2.5 billion.

Assembly Begins on the First GEnx Test Engine

November 21, 2005

DUBAI -- November 21, 2005 : Assembly of engine subasssembly for the first full-scale GEnx test engine is underway. The GEnx engine is being developed for the Boeing 787 and 747 Advanced aircraft and the Airbus A350 aircraft.

"We are currently assembling components for this first engine to test," says Tom Brisken, general manager of the GEnx program. "Testing is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2006, with engine certification planned for mid-2007 and entry into service on the Boeing 787 scheduled for 2008."
