Galvanized Steel Produced Shipped to Automotive Industry in North and South America
JENBACH, AUSTRIA---September 30, 2010---Mexico's largest steel galvanizing plant, owned by POSCO-Mexico, will save $6 million per year in electrical power costs and achieve power independence by using GE's (NYSE: GE) Jenbacher technology. The new nine-megawatt power generation project will use natural gas to produce POSCO-Mexico's onsite power instead of purchasing it from the grid.
GE Joining High Level Partnership to Develop the Country's Renewable Energy Potential

2010年9月29日【東京】 GEは、2010年7月に富士電機ホールディングス株式会社（以下、「富士電機」）との間で、国内の電力分野、その他の顧客向けメーターを設計・製造・販売する合弁会社を設立することに合意し、2010年10月の合弁会社設立に向けた準備を進めてまいりました。
その一環として、各国の競争法に基づく手続きを行っておりますが、現時点で審査が継続している国があり、その完了に数ヶ月を要する可能性があることが判明しました。これを踏まえ、合弁会社設立予定時期を延期することを決定いたしましたのでお知らせいたします。設立時期につきましては審査が終了次第、速やかにお知らせいたします。
今回の合弁会社設立予定時期の延期は、当該競争法上の手続きによるものであり、当社ならびに富士電機は、お互いに友好関係を保持しながら合弁会社設立に向けた準備を順調に進めております。
なお、設立予定時期の延期により、メーター事業に関しては、2010年10月以降も合弁会社設立までは双方にて継続することといたします。
