WILMINGTON, N.C.--Wednesday, September 30, 2009-- GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) today announced support for a nuclear cooperation agreement between Italy and the United States, signed Tuesday in Washington, D.C. The bilateral agreement enables growth in Italy's power-generation capacity and diversification of its energy portfolio by fostering cooperation in the research, development and deployment of advanced reactor technologies.
