GE and Solarcentury to get UK schools generating £68,000 from solar power

GE has formed a partnership with Solarcentury, the UK's most experienced solar energy company, to provide financial services support for its Solar4Schools programme. The programme, which has already installed solar electric systems in over 250 schools across the UK, aims to introduce solar power to hundreds of schools across the nation over the next two years.

ArcLight Acquires 640-MW Georgia Power Plant with $98 Million in Financing Led by GE Energy Financial Services

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. & STAMFORD, Conn.--Monday, July 12, 2010-- ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC, through its wholly-owned affiliate AL Sandersville Holdings, LLC, has acquired a 640-megawatt generation facility located in Sandersville, Georgia from KGen Power Corporation for $130 million. GE Energy Financial Services, a unit of GE (NYSE: GE), closed financing as the lead lender of the $98 million in senior secured credit facilities partially financing the acquisition.

Smith Enterprises, Inc., a Taco Bell franchisee based in Sacramento, California. The proceeds will be used to refinance existing debt, fund a store acquisition, and support remodeling at select locations. Financing was provided through the GE Capital Franchise Finance bank affiliate, GE Capital Financial Inc.

GECAS announces delivery of a new Airbus 320 to Nouvelair Tunisie

Shannon, Ireland, July 7, 2010 -- GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) today announced the delivery of a new Airbus A320-200 (serial number 4347) to Nouvelair Tunisie to help the carrier's fleet expansion.

The aircraft come from GECAS' existing order book with Airbus and is one of five aircraft GECAS currently leases to the airline. Nouvelair Tunisie, a leading North African charter airline based in Monastir, Tunisia, has a current fleet of 17 aircraft, consisting primarily of A320s.

The aircraft come from GECAS' existing order book with Boeing and is one of 27 aircraft GECAS currently leases to the airline. Air China, the flag carrier based in Beijing, currently has a fleet of 264 aircraft.
