LIMA, PERU -- Noviembre 9, 2010 -- Una turbina de vapor de GE será utilizada para convertir la planta de generación de energía de  Kallpa en Chilca, Perú,  en una operación de ciclo combinado, incrementando significativamente la eficiencia y la salida de la producción de energía en las instalaciones. Localizada a 60 kms. al sur de Lima, Kallpa, es la más grande planta termoeléctrica en Perú.

北京，2010年11月9日 - 世界领先的技术和基础设施公司通用电气（GE）公司今天宣布三年内将投入超过20亿美元拓展其在中国的技术创新和客户支持能力，并与行业领先的中国公司建立新的合资企业。

GE公司董事长兼首席执行官杰夫▪伊梅尔特在北京宣布，GE将投入5亿美元用于在中国加强研发活动和建立多个创新中心，更好地服务于西南、西北、东北和中部市场。他还承诺投入超过15亿美元建立新的合资企业。

伊梅尔特表示："在航空、能源、运输、医疗以及金融服务这些领域，中国都是全球增长最快、最具潜力的市场， 我们承诺继续把GE的技术和创新优势带到中国，更有效地支持中国应对经济发展的新挑战，并为中美两国创造新的就业机会。"

Ge公司任命约翰 * 赖斯负责美国以外的全球市场

2010年11月9日，通用电气（GE）公司董事会宣布任命约翰*赖斯先生为美国以外全球市场的领导人。赖斯先生自2005年起担任GE全球副董事长，他将负责GE在美国以外所有地区的业务增长。他的管理总部将设在香港。该任命于2011年1月1日起生效。

GE董事长兼CEO杰夫*伊梅尔特说，"20多年来，赖斯在世界范围服务客户，建立伙伴关系，在全球商界，政府和GE公司员工中广受尊敬。为了在全球市场更好地抓住增长机遇，因此，我们的管理方式必须更加分权，团队行动更加快捷，更本地化。"

伊梅尔特说："在GE, 全球化的重要性正在提升。在约翰领导下，我们将能更好发挥GE在多个领域的特长和全球化人才优势，更有效地实施我们的增长和出口战略。"

53岁的赖斯将负责所有美国以外的市场，重点关注中国、印度、中东和巴西等高增长的地区， 利用GE领先技术和服务，服务当地市场。在适合的地区，实施GE的"公司对国家"的增长战略，即GE和政府直接合作，满足当地需求。

伊梅尔特说："我们期望在美国以外地区的销售将能够占到GE的60%。我们在美国以外地区业务增长在过去十年已经扩大了15%，我们希望再接再厉。"

GE 석유가스, 대우조선해양으로부터 1억 2천만 달러 상당의 브라질 심해 장비 수주

2010년 11월 5일, 서울- GE 석유가스의 시추 및 생산 사업부는 세계 선두 조선 및 해양플랜트 전문기업인 대우조선해양으로부터 총 1억 2천만 달러 상당의 계약 두 건을 수주했다고 지난 3일 밝혔다.

이번 계약 건으로, GE는 브라질 해안에서 석유 및 가스 생산에 사용 될 페트로서브 (Petroserv) 소유의 원유시추선 (drillship) 에 설치 될 폭발방지장치(BOP) 본체와 제어 시스템을 공급 할 예정이다.

GE는 또한 오데브레트 (Odebrecht) 석유가스사 소유의 원유시추선에 설치 될 원유 시추 장비 종합 패키지 2 건의 공급업체로 선정 되었다. 각 패키지는 10,000 피트 길이의 라이저 시스템 (riser system)과 폭발방지장치 본체(BOP) 및 제어장치로 구성된다.
