GE（本社：米国コネチカット州フェアフィールド）と独立行政法人_物質・材料研究機構（本部：茨城県つくば市、以下「NIMS」）は、6月30日、3年間の「マスター・リサーチ・アグリーメント（研究協力に関する主契約）」を締結しました。本契約に基づき、GEとNIMSは、最新の材料科学技術における共同研究を進め、将来の実用化を視野に入れ連携を促進いたします。
2009年5月、GEとNIMSは、よりクリーンで、より持続可能なエネルギー・ポートフォリオ、および環境関連技術の促進に貢献する材料科学エンジニアリング分野における、将来的なプロジェクトを見つけ出すことを目的として、技術連携に向けたMOUを締結しました。
