SHANNON, Ireland, May 28, 2013 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced it signed agreement to lease nine new Airbus A321 aircraft to Thomas Cook Airlines Limited.
Six of the aircraft are part of a purchase-and-leaseback transaction with the airline and come from Thomas Cook's existing order book with Airbus. Three of the aircraft come from GECAS' existing order book with Airbus. All nine are scheduled for delivery in 2014 and 2015 and will help modernize the carrier's fleet.
