GE Aircraft Engines to upgrade technology of Kuwait Airways GE90 engines in US$11 million deal; Enhanced performance engines to power carrier's Boeing 777 aircraft on new non-stop international flight

Kuwait, October 4, 2003: -- GE Aircraft Engines will provide Kuwait Airways with an advanced engine upgrade kit to enhance performance of its GE90 engines in service on Boeing 777's. In an agreement valued at US$11 million, GE will increase the performance of five of the carrier's GE90-90B engines, enabling non-stop flights from Kuwait City to New York.

GE Aircraft Engines to Power Kuwait Apache Helicopters; US$30 million contract for GE T700-701C engines

September 19, 2002

Kuwait, September 19, 2002 ---- GE Aircraft Engines has won a contract to supply GE T700-701C helicopter engines to the Government of Kuwait. The new engines will power the government's new fleet of 16 Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters.

The contract, valued at US$30 million, allows for the supply of 32 engines to be installed on the new fleet of helicopters, as well as four spares. The T700-701C powers the latest AH-64A/D Apaches and H-60 Black Hawk variants.
