DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, September 26, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced the delivery of a new leased Boeing 777-200LRF aircraft to Ethiopian Airlines.
A second 777-200LRF is scheduled for delivery next month. The aircraft will expand and modernize the carrier's freighter fleet.
First Aircraft Leased Into Myanmar By GE Unit
SINGAPORE, September 24, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced it will lease two modern Embraer E190 aircraft to Myanma Airways, the flag carrier of Myanmar.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in November and December 2012.
RIO DE JANEIRO, September 19, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced today that it has delivered a new leased ATR 72-600 aircraft to Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras S/A as part of a purchase and leaseback transaction.
The aircraft is the first of five new ATR72-600s GECAS will lease to Azul to expand the airline's fleet. These aircraft come from Azul's existing orderbook with ATR. The remaining four deliveries are scheduled through April 2013.
SHANNON, Ireland, September 12, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of two leased Airbus A320 aircraft to BH Air Ltd. to expand the airline's fleet.
BH Air, also known as Balkan Holidays Airlines, currently operates a fleet of six Airbus aircraft primarily on a charter basis between Bulgaria and various destinations in Europe as well as actively operating the aircraft on a wet-lease basis for other airlines.
STAMFORD, Conn., September 10, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced it has signed agreements to lease nine Airbus A319 aircraft to Allegiant Air to expand the carrier's current fleet. All nine aircraft are powered with CFM56-5B engines.
The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery to Allegiant in November 2012, with the remaining scheduled for delivery through 2015.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, September 7, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced the delivery of a third new Airbus A320 to Lebanon's Middle East Airlines.
The two previous aircraft were delivered in May and June to expand the airline's fleet. Middle East Airlines currently operates a fleet of 17 aircraft to destinations in Africa, Europe, the Gulf region and the Middle East. It is a member of the SkyTeam alliance.
SHANNON, Ireland, August 28, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced it will lease two Airbus A320-200 aircraft to a new customer, Tyrolean Airways.
Tyrolean Airways is responsible for operating all Austrian Airlines flights.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in early 2013 and will expand the existing fleet to around 80 aircraft.

The aircraft from the airline's existing order book with Boeing were delivered in May and July and will be used to expand and modernize the airline's fleet.
PT Lion Mentari Airline is Indonesia's largest private airline with a fleet of more than 80 aircraft and passenger service to more than 60 destinations.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, August 8, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, signed a purchase and leaseback transaction with Emirates airline for three new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and seven spare engines.
The first aircraft from the airline's existing order book with Boeing was delivered on May 30. The other aircraft are scheduled for delivery later in 2012. The leaseback of seven spare engines -- four GE90s and three GP7200s -- was successfully completed in June.
SAO PAULO, Brazil, July 24, 2012 -- GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of two leased Airbus A320 aircraft to start-up airline VivaColombia.
The low-cost carrier began service on May 25 from its base in Medellin, Colombia, and serves passenger routes within the country.
"GECAS is one of VivaColombia´s main strategic partners. Together we are changing the state of commercial flight in Colombia," said Fred Jacobsen, VivaColombia´s CEO.
