The GE90 Engine Hits Another Milestone: Its 3,000th Delivery
Introduced in 1990, the GE90 engine wasn’t fated to succeed. Yet it’s become the standard for all wide-body engines, and this month GE Aerospace is celebrating the delivery of the 3,000th GE90 production engine. The GE90 was the first commercial engine to enter service with carbon-fiber composite fan blades and the first to be certified at over 100,000 pounds of thrust. Mindset Over Matter 
Last week in New York City, GE hosted an A-list of leaders from the business, sports, healthcare, and culinary worlds at a first-of-its-kind event focused on how their dedication to continuous improvement has fed their success. “The Lean Mindset: The Pursuit of Progress” featured athletes Peyton Manning and Giannis Antetokounmpo, CEOs Jim Farley and Dara Khosrowshahi, psychologist Carol Dweck, whose concept of the “growth mindset” was an inspiration for the gathering, and more.
