The GE90 Engine Hits Another Milestone: Its 3,000th Delivery
Introduced in 1990, the GE90 engine wasn’t fated to succeed. Yet it’s become the standard for all wide-body engines, and this month GE Aerospace is celebrating the delivery of the 3,000th GE90 production engine. The GE90 was the first commercial engine to enter service with carbon-fiber composite fan blades and the first to be certified at over 100,000 pounds of thrust.
